Even if you don't live in Krefeld, you can still get married here. We will be pleased to welcome you to our beautiful city.
However, the application for a marriage licence must be made in the registry office for the district in which either the bride or groom is normally resident or has their home address or secondary address. The documents will then be sent from your registry office to the one in Krefeld.
If you do not have German nationality, it is advisable to seek advice at the registry office, as the laws of your home country must be taken into consideration when applying to get married.
Generally speaking, marriages can take place at any time during the registry office's normal working hours. From March to October the Hunting Lodge in Linn is available on Friday mornings once or twice a month. It goes without saying that you can also get married on a Saturday at various other particularly beautiful venues in Krefeld. We will be pleased to give you further information.
